Luisa Domingo - HARP

Luisa Domingo

Born in Guadassuar (Valencia), the harpist Luisa Domingo is one of the most noted artist of the new generation of Spanish musicians. She is possession of important prizes, such as the Medalla de Oro del concurso de Córdoba (Argentina, 1992), the Nacional prize of Juventudes Musicales (1994) or the Premio Ojo Crítico of Radio Nacional (2006). Luisa Domingo has actuated in four countries and she is soloist of the Grup Instrumental de València and the Orquestra de València. For five years, she was principal harp of the Orquesta de la Comunitat Valenciana, chosen personally by Lorin Maazel. She has offered recitals and concerts with orchestra in a lot of countries, halls suchas the Philharmonie of Berlín, the Concertgebouw of Ámsterdam, the Gewandhaus of Leipzig, the Suntory Hall of Tokio or the Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires, she has performed with conductors such as Valeri Guerguiev, Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur, Zubin Mehta, Gianandrea Noseda, Georges Prête, Yuri Temirkanov, among others. She has offered recitals with some of the most known musicians of the present, such as Plácido Domingo – with who has performed in Spain and other countries-, or the mezoosoprano María José Montiel.



Catalina Roig Burguera - FLUTE

Catalina Roig Burguera

Born in 1980 in Santanyí (Mallorca). She starts his musical studies at the municipal school of the same town with Enrique Palau as teacher. She finishes his middle degree studies with honors at the Conservatori Professional de Música i Dansa de les Illes Balears. Afterwards, she does his Bachellor at the Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona where she obtains the maximum qualifications. She has attended lessons with distinguished professors such as Magdalena Martínez, Salvador Martínez, Vicens Prats, Joana Guillem and Maxence Larrieu. She has participated in many concert seasons. She has collaborated with the Orquestra Haydn de Barcelona, the Orquestra Ciutat de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya and the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears, among tohers. She has been professor of the Escola Municipal de Música de Santanyí and, since 2000, she is professor of the Conservatori Professional de Música i Dansa de Mallorca. She is member of the Bóreas Wind Quintet.




Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears

Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears

Group created through the State Foundation of Baleares for the Music. The orchestra has had as titular conductors to Luis Remartínez, Philippe Bender, Salvador Brotons, Geoffrey Simon, Edmon Colomer, Josep Vicent and currently Pablo Mielgo and Joji Hattori. Besides the regular season in Palma, the group participates in the production of the opera season, the Festival de Música Castell de Bellver, and organizes the chamber music season Solistes de Sa Simfònica, concerts for students and families. The orchestra has offered concerts at all the towns of the Balearic Islands and also around Spain, Perpignan, Cannes, Marsella and Vienna. Local composers' works are often programmed and also performed for first time many of which have been compiled on C.D.





Eduardo Bernabeu - CLARINET

Born in Cocentaina (Alicante), Eduardo Bernabeu study at the Conservatori Superior Oscar Esplà d'Alacant achieving the Bachellor Award. In 1996, he took part in Concurs d'Intèrprets de la Societat de Concerts d'Alacant and got an honorable mention. The same year he is semifinalist at the international clarinet competition Ciudad de dos Hermanas in Sevilla. He has performed as soloist in Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland and Spain. Since Octuber 1996, he is principal clarinet of the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears.







Gerard Beltran - BASSOON

Born in Cullera (Valencia). He attended college at the Concervatori Oscar Esplà of Alicante with Professor Juan Iznardo Colom, he improves with Juan E. Sapiña. Later, he studied at the Richard Strauss Konservatorium in Munich with Marco Postinghel. He has collaborated on numerous occasions with the Orquestra de València, Orquesta de Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, Real Orquesta de Sevilla, Orquesta de la RTVE and Orquesta Sinfónica de La Coruña. He was invited by the Barenboim-Said Foundation as professor and soloist in the orchestra of the festival. He is a bassoonist of the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands.







Marc Torres Romagosa - PIANO

Born 1976, courses his professional piano studies with Miquel Estelrich, Miquel Moll at the Royal Conservatory The Hague with Marcel Baudet and Marlies van Gent, and the Rotterdams Conservatorium (Holland) with Michael Davidson. He has performed as a soloist and with chamber groups in stages of Mallorca, Menorca, Barcelona and Netherlands. He has taught at the professional conservatories of Mallorca and Menorca. Teaches at the integrated primary and elementary music center CEIP Son Serra.







Benjamín Habichuela - GUITAR

Benjamín Habichuela

Born in Sacromonte, Granada. He has worked with artists such as José Merce, Carmen Linares and Enrique Morente. He started to do international contert tours with the bailaora Manuela Vargas in France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Japan, Canada... sharing stage with Manzanita and Luís Habichuela among others.

Born in Sevilla. Recognized by all the great flamenco artists, he has shared stage with Eva Yerbabuena, Sara Baras, Joaquín Cortés, Blanca del Rey, Manolete and Indio Gitano. He has worked in the best flamenco clubs of Madrid as well as France, UK, USA and Japan.









Carmen Torres - BAILAORA

Carmen Torres

Born in Córdoba. She has worked in many Flemish companies and traveled around the world, bringing his love for the flamenco and the dance.

Silvia Fernández

She has worked with Toni Cruz, at the Flemish ballet of Es Foguero, with the guitarist Gaizka Baena, and other reknown artists. She is known for the strength of her feet and her elegance on the stage.











Benji Habichuela - BOX

Benji Habichuela

He has worked with great artists like Pitingo, Juan Carmona, Antonio Carmona, Jorge Pardo, Alain Perez, Juan de Juan, Farruco and Pepe Habichuela. He has collaborated with the Balearic Islands Symphony and in several discs with Jaco Abel, Antonio Barullo, etc.











José Manuel Zapata - TENOR

José Manuel Zapata has become, since its debut 12 years ago, in one of the most important tenors of his generation. After their first performance at the Opera de Oviedo in 2002, he has managed to debut in a short space of time, starring in some of the world's most important opera theaters: Metropolitan Opera House in New York, Teatro Real de Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona, Rossini Opera Festival, Berlin Opera, Théâtre Châtelet of Paris, Semperoper of Dresden, Teatro Massimo of Palermo, Theater an der Wien of Vienna, Deutsche Oper Rhein, Palais des Beaux Arts of Brussels, etc. He has performed with big singers as Juan Diego Flórez, Elina Garancs, Anna Caterina Antonacci, Renée Fleming, Joyce DiDonato, Eva Podles, led by conductors of the stature of Alberto Zedda, Jesús López Cobos, Josep Pons, Claudio Scimone or Ricardo Frizza.





Amaia Planas - MEZZOSOPRANO

Amaia Planas

She was born in Palma. She began her vocal studies with the mezzo-soprano Sylvia Corbacho. She further pursued her singing studies at the Hochshule für Musik Köln in Germany with Edda Moser and Arthur Jansen. She has done master classes with García Morante, Kamal Kahn, Joan Pons, Nicolas Giusti, Francisco Lázaro, Enedina Lloris, Josep Miquel Ribot and Amelia Felle, among others. In 2005, she got the 3rd prize Manuel Auseni Award at the VIII Singing competition for young voices. She has participated in many opera productions and operettas at the Teatre Principal of Palma, Teatre Romea of Barcelona, the Grec Festival and in productions of the Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona. She has given recitals in Spain, France, Jordan and New York. She was member of the Junge Kammeroper Köln in Germany. She has recorded two albums with songs for voice and piano from the well-known composer A. Parera Fons.





Miquel Estelrich - PIANO

Miquel Estelrich

Born in Palma (Mallorca), he is titular professor and founder of the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, institution which he has directed. He has performed as soloist with the Orquestra Simfònica Ciutat de Palma, the Orquestra Simfònica de Balears, the Marburg's Orchestra (Germany) and Cannes' Orchestra (France), etc. His intense and diverse musical activity has carried him to play in many places such as Valencia, Santander, Zaragoza, Madrid, Barcelona, Italy, Portugal, France, Austria, etc., at the Kennedy Center of Washington and at the Chopin Festival of Valldemossa and Pollença's Festival. He is one of the pianists who most has worked on the recovery and dissemination of the Mallorcan composers; in 1987, he is awarded with the premio nacional de Ministerio de Cultura for his book Compositors mallorquins. He is doctor by the University of the Balearic Islands and pianist of the Orquestra Simfònica de Balears since its foundation, in 1989.





Smerald Spahiu - VIOLIN

Smerald Spahiu

Born in Tirana (Albania), he finishes his violin studies at the city's conservatory. Since 1996, he is concertmaster of the Orquestra Simfònica de Balears and during this period of time he has done in intense orchestral and chamber work. As soloist, he has performed compositions by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Sibelius, Brahms, Wieniavski, Bruch, Beethoven, etc. and played with conductors such as Philippe Bender, Salvador Brotons, Matias Bamert, Oliver Donhany, etc. He has recorded Antoni Torrandell's Symphony for violin and orchestra, likewise some Paganini's works for violin and guitar. He has performed in many festivals in the Balearic Islands, Girona, Madrid, Darmstadt, Perpignan, Copenhagen and New York. He has collaborated as guest concertmaster with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga, Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallés and the Camerata Sa Nostra. He has been collaborator professor of orchestral repertory at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears and teacher of the Orquestra Jove de Castelló.




Vicenç Balaguer - VIOLIN

Vicente Balaguer

Born in Benaguasil (Valencia), he is a violin professor at the Conservatory of Music of Valencia. He is a regular guest concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of Navarra, Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National, and the orchestras of Valencia, Madrid, Tenerife, Galicia, Castilla y Leon, Cadaqués and concertmaster-founder of the Collegium Instrumentale Valencia. He teaches at the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, Catalonia National Youth Orchestra, Youth Orchestra of Valencia, and the Orchestra of Joves Intèrprets dels Països Catalans.







Paula Marqués - VIOLIN

Paula Marqués

Paula was born in Valencia, where she began her first musical studies, joining the Spanish Youth Orchestra (JONDE) in 1997. After graduating with honours from the Liceo Conservatoire in Barcelona, she studied for her advanced diploma with Vicente Huerta Faubel. A former member of the Joaquin Rodrigo Chamber Orchestra, Paula has also been invited to play with the City of Granada Orchestra, the Castilla and Leon Symphony Orchestra and the Symphonic Orchestra of Valencia. In 2006 she became a member of the Balearic Symphony Orchestra and is a regular performer with Majorca's best small ensembles.








Sonia Krasnova - VIOLA

Sonia Krasnova

Born in Moscow, studied viola at the Central Music School and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of Yuri Bashmet. In 1994 entered as soloist in the Ballet Nederland Orchestra of Amsterdam. She has also taken part of the Quartet of the Dutch Radio and of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. She has been part of the Orquestra Simfònica de Balears "Ciutat de Palma" since 1999 and currently she is principal viola.








Emmanuel Bleuse - CELLO

Emmanuel Bleuse

Born in 1975 in Paris in a family of musicians. Expands his musical studies in Germany and in the United States with Janos Starker in Bloomington. He won the Prix Académie Ravel 1997 and the Matinées Musicales in Indianapolis (USA 2000). He was the first cellist at the Staatskapelle Halle (Germany 2001- 2004) and currently holds the same position in the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears.








Xisco Aguiló - BASS

Xisco Aguiló

Born in Mallorca. He studied double bass and cello at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Anthony Woodrow, Margaret Urquart and Knut Guettler. He has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, member of the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears and regular contributor to the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada. Specializing in early music, has developed an intense career with groups such as La Real Cámara, El Concierto Español, La Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Le Concert des Nations, Quartet Albada, Al Ayre Español or the Orquesta of the S. XVIII performing in Japan, New York, Singapour, Hong Kong, and participates regularly in the most prestigious European festivals. He has recorded for labels such as: Ona Digital, Lindoro, Glossa, Alia Vox, Harmonia Mundi, Prometheus, Chalenge, among others.





Adrià Olmo and Yana Olina - DANCERS

Adrià Olmo y Yana Olina

The Mallorcan Adrià Olmo and his dance partner, the Russian Yana Olina, both 26 years old have represented our country in places like Ecuador, Australia, Turkey, Norway, Dubai, Singapore, among others. They are the current runners of Spain campionship since 2012, champions of the Illes Balears since 2009, ranked third in the championship of the European Union and ranked eighth in the World Cup 2014.








Santanyí Music Band

Banda de Música de Santanyí

The first review of a municipal band in Santanyí appears in 1870. This group has been transformed over the years. Most of the members are students and professors of the Music School. The band has been directed by Jaume Adrover, Juan Manresa, Antoni Scales, Miquel Morell, Baldomero Astorga, Andreu Bennàssar, Ángel Martinez, Jordi Rosselló and Miquel Bonet. Currently, the director is Pedro Vallbona and the coordinator is Mateu Nadal. This group represents a cultural symbol and a pedagogical tool very important in Santanyí.







Antoni Aragón - TENOR

Antoni Aragón

Born in Palma. He collaborates with different groups of ancient music, Ministrers Capella, Capella Reial de Catalunya, Style Concertante, Camerata Iberia and Ensemble Elyma, among others. Also with the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla and the Orquesta Barroca de Salamanca and the Studium group and the Turiae Camerata of Valencia. He has participated in many productions as Bastien und Bastienne, Die Zauberflöte, L'italiana in Algiers, La fanciulla del West, Marina, La Sonnambula, Don Pasquale, Pagliacci, Salome, La madrileña, Cosa rara, Il mondo della luna, Otello, Le nozze di Figaro, Carmen, Turandot, etc. He has performed orchestral works of Bach, Gounod, Mozart, Haydn, Handel and Falla, among others.






Andreu Riera - PIANO

Andreu Riera

Andreu Riera is one of the most significant Spanish pianists of his generation. Riera has won major national piano competitions such as the Infanta Cristina (Madrid), Caja Postal in Madrid, Alonso Competition in the city of Valencia, and International, such as Frederic Mompou (Barcelona), Jacinto Guerrero and Mozart Competition, Salzburg Mozarteum. Andreu Riera has performed all over Spain and in Italy, Austria, France, Switzerland, Germany, Finland, United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Australia. He has performed solo with orchestra with the John Hopkins University Orchestra, Baltimore USA, and at the Teatro Nacional de San José Costa Rica with the Costa Rica University Symphonic Orchestra. In San José also, he is been teaching master lessons for young pianists of the Costa Rica University. Recently he has been nominated as a member of the Arts Academy in Palma de Mallorca. He is also teaching at the Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears, in Palma de Mallorca.




Duo Forteza Nieto - CLARINET and PIANO

Duo Forteza Nieto

The clarinetist Pascual Martínez, born in Palma, is clarinet at the New York Philharmonic since 2001; being the first and only Spanish in the history of the orchestra. Previously, he worked at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Orquestra Simfònica de Balears. He has recently worked as guest soloist clarinet with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Sir Simon Rattle.
The Forteza-Nieto Duo, consisting of Pascual Martínez-Forteza and Gema Nieto-Forteza, was formed in 2003 in New York. In 2004, the duo makes his debut at Carnegie Hall with great success. His repertoire is especially focused on Spanish music, considered a reference in the repertoire of the nineteenth century. Also the repertoire of French and American music. Recognized for their musicality, they have acted in concert halls and festivals in North America, Asia and Europe.




Bledar Zajmi - CELLO

Bledar Zajmi

Born in Tirana, is currently concertmaster at the National Theatre in Prague. Over the years, he has developed a strong artistic carrear on three continents, in over thirty countries around the world with more than fifteen solo and chamber music albums and a wide artistic repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music. He studied with Professor Rudolf Lojda at the Academy of Music in Prague where he graduated with the highest rating. During his studies in Prague, also attends master classes with renowned teachers as Boris Pergamenschikow in Akademie Kronberg Cello (Germany) and Josef Chuchro at the Summer Academy in Semmering (Austria). He is awarded with the second prize and the special jury prize at the International Palm d'Oro competition in Finale Ligure (Italy) and in 2004 the silver medal at the International Prize Rovere d'Oro competition in San Bartolomeo al Mare (Italy). Bledar Zajmi plays a French instrument of Mirecourt.




Pavel Svoboda - HARPSICHORD

Pavel Svoboda

Pavel Svoboda is one of the most noted organists. He began his studies at the Conservatory of Pardubice with Josef Rafaja. He has attended various courses taught by famous organists such as S. Landale, M. Sander, T. Jellema, Ch. Bossert, among others. He studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with Jaroslav Tuma and the University of Arts in Berlin with Leo van Doeselaar. He has been awarded at several international organ competitions such as the International Competition for Young Organists in Opava, the International Performing Competition Brno, the International Competition of Petr Eben, Internationale Orgelwoche in Korschenbroich (Germany) and the International Spring Music Competition of Prague. He has performed in Slovakia, Poland and Spain, and as a soloist he has performed with the best orchestras. He has recorded several CDs and numerous recordings for the Czech radio and TV. He is the artistic director of the International Music Festival F. L Vek.

Founded in 2002 by the tenor José Ferrero, the Capilla Antigua de Chinchilla has recorded numerous CD dedicated to medieval music of Alfonso X, Ginés de Boluda, Rogier, Victoria, Morales, Guerrero, medieval pilgrims music, Sephardic ballads and songs, etc. His major research and dissemination of ancient and baroque music has led them to perform at numerous festivals such as Festival de Música Antigua de Chinchilla, Festival de Música Antiga of Hellín, Festival de Música Medieval de Alarcos, Octubre Musical of Cartago, Organ Festival of Liétor, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Palau de la Música of Valencia, Teatro de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Alcázar of Seville, Festival de Música de Olivares, etc.






Angela del Mare - MEZZOSOPRANO

Angela del Mare

Ludmilla Kovalas-Kovalevskaya - PIANO

Ludmilla Kovalas

She was born in the Urals. She spent his childhood in Siberia where she studied piano at the Conservatory of Novosibirsk. For twenty-five years, she worked as ballet and musical theater accompanist at the Nationaltheater of Riga. In Germany, she worked at the Staatstheater of Saarbrücken. She has collaborated with the ballet of Marguerite Donlon. She regularly works with singers and is dedicated to teaching piano.
